We are seeking a responsible Class B CDL Truck Driver/Smash Operator to join our Smash My Trash team! You will be responsible for safely operating our trucks, which are outfitted with a 3-ton rolling drum on a boom that you operate to SMASH the contents of open-top waste containers (dumpsters), requiring your ability to operate the equipment at each customer's facility. We require a 1-2 day paid training period prior to employment alongside a background check.
Responsibilities:
- Treat customers in a courteous and professional manner. This is a key employee, the face of the company to the customer
- Safely operate a 25,000 pound Kenworth T270 truck.
- Skillfully operate a hydraulic operated machine implement
- Properly track and document activity log via smartphone
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Inspect truck before and after trip while properly tracking and documenting activity via smartphone using a provided checklist
- Contribute to maintenance and cleaning of truck and machine
- Demonstrate complete reliability and accountability
Qualifications:
- MUST provide Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- MUST have 5 years clean background check
- Strong work ethic with proven job history, reliability and accountability
- Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
- Valid driver’s license
- Class B CDL
- Skilled with a smartphone and able to use our apps to track routes and complete work activities
- Entrepreneurial spirit, interest in growing your career and responsibilities
- Pre-employment background check
- Diesel mechanic and hydraulic systems background preferred
- This position does not require interstate travel. Home every day.
- Commissions and bonuses will be available for referral/sales activities and contributing to successful demonstrations that result in closed business.
