Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

Join our team as a Construction Laborer, where you will be responsible for performing general labor duties on new construction roofing projects. This role involves hands-on tasks such as removing debris, using shovels, cutting materials, loading carts, hauling trash, assisting with insulation, and maintaining an organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Remove debris using shovels and other tools.
• Cut and load materials onto carts for transport.
• Haul away trash and dispose of it properly.
• Assist with laying insulation and attaching materials.
• Clean and organize materials and tools to maintain a tidy work area.

Essential Skills

• Experience working on a construction job site.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools such as shovels.
• Ability to perform manual labor, including roofing and concrete work.
• Familiarity with power tools and carpentry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in labor-intensive roles like concrete work.
• Any roofing experience is a significant advantage.
• Capability to perform manual labor for 8+ hours a day.

Work Environment

This role involves working on new construction job sites, including low-slope roofing with safety measures in place. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including heat and cold. The shift is Monday through Thursday, 10-hour days, with potential early morning starts to mitigate heat. Orientation is provided, and compliance includes a drug screen and experience check. Required PPE includes steel-toe boots and appropriate attire; other PPE will be supplied.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Johnsonville, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
