Professional Dog Sitter – A Purrfectly Flexible Opportunity! Do you love dogs? Are you great at customer service and have a flexible schedule? If so, The Comforted Canine is looking to contract immediately with a self‑employed Dog Sitter in the Charlotte metro area. The position is very flexible: you set your own hours, service area, and when you want to work. Perks Make money doing what you love! Community Access a group‑chat network of dozens of self‑employed pet care providers across the country to share advice, dog care tips, and community resources for fostering or adopting pets. A Day in the Life Dog Sitters visit clients’ homes for drop‑in visits (30, 45, or 60 minutes, once or twice daily, or 10‑hour overnight stays) or dog walks (30, 60, or 90 minute private walks or 60 minute group walks). Before your first sitting visit, you’ll meet each client and their dog in person for a meet and greet, discuss care routines and contingency plans, and follow the client’s directions. What We Expect At least 18 years old. Experience caring for dogs (professional experience is a plus but not required). Physical ability to walk, run, pull, push, bend or reach for extended periods. Capable of handling dogs of all sizes. Smartphone with internet, texting, and camera. Ability to pass a criminal background check and provide references. Compassion, patience, reliability, and organization. Prepared for unexpected and emergency situations. Comfortable with physically and mentally demanding work. Certification in pet first aid/CPR or experience administering oral meds, injections or fluids. Calm, reliable, organized personality. Availability during peak times, especially winter holidays. How the Schedule Works 30, 45, or 60‑minute visits/walks; 1x, 2x, or 3x daily (morning, afternoon, evening, anytime). 10‑hour overnight stays in the client’s home.
