Overview ABE teacher to provide instruction to adult learners in our program, providing instruction to up to 25 students in a HyFlex instructional model. Instructional content is in reading, writing, math, social studies and science aligned to the College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) and the Academic and Employability Skills Transitions Integration Framework (ACES/TIF). The total hours for this position through June 2027 will be 34.5 hours and the position may be reduced to 25.5 hours after June 2027 per week. The schedule is as follows for 2025-2027. Responsibilities Deliver instruction in reading, writing, math, social studies and science aligned to CCRS and ACES/TIF. Provide instruction to adult learners in a HyFlex instructional model. Design, deliver, and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; use instructional resources and technologies equitably. Maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars, and work with them in the development of their scholar. Collaborate with peers to develop curriculum and lesson plans designed for adult students. Participate in district and building leadership activities. Willing to participate in district schedule and duties, including potential evening hours as determined by administration. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required MN teaching license, or willingness and eligibility to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2 license Preferred Qualifications Comfort and understanding in using technology to deliver HyFlex instruction Experience with, or understanding of, working with adult students Willingness to collaborate with peers to develop curriculum and lesson plans designed for adult students Schedule and Availability Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:00-2:00 (instructional time is 9:00-1:00; the remaining 2 hours is preparation and non-contact time). Wednesday from 8:00-3:30 (instructional time is 9:00-2:00; the remaining 2.5 hours are for preparation and non-contact time). 9 hours per week (6 hours of instruction and 3 hours of preparation and non-contact) to support the Osseo ABE IELCE. This position may include 2 evenings per week as determined by administration. The FTE is hourly, 0.8 position; the total hours through June 2027 will be 34.5 per week and may be reduced to 25.5 hours after June 2027.
