Summary : This position maintains and operates all instruments and measuring devices needed to complete different types of survey work assignments.

General Responsibilities :

• Operates and maintains levels, theodolites, robotic total stations, GPS Units, data collectors, magnetic locators, including surveying supplies such as tripods, prism poles, level rods and measuring tapes.
• Perform various topographic surveys at proposed facility sites and along street and road ROW's.
• May include oil and gas surveys such as stake and well locations and pipeline routes.

Required Education/Licenses:

• HS Graduate or GED

Required Experience:

• 2-3 years extensive survey experience and/or specialized vocational training in survey technology.
• Operate Trimble GPS Units with Trimble data collectors and a Trimble Robotic Total Station with the Trimble data collector, as well as, Topcon GPS Units and a Topcon Robotic Total Station with Topcon data collectors.

Physical Requirements:

• Occasional lifting/carrying a minimum of 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs.
• Driving to and from various project sites.

Additional Skills/Certifications preferred but not required :

• AutoCAD
• Safety Training Classes
