ALANTRA is a global mid-market investment banking and asset management firm with offices across Europe, the U.S., Asia and Latin America. Its Investment Banking division employs over 500 highly talented and experienced professionals spread across 24 offices in 20 countries, providing independent advice on M&A, capital raising, financial restructuring, credit portfolio, and capital markets transactions. Alantra’s U.S. business, headquartered in Boston, MA, has specialized in domestic and cross-border mid-market acquisitions and divestitures involving family-owned businesses, multi-national corporations, and private equity investors for over 40 years. The team offers broad sector expertise across a range of industries, including Consumer, Financial Services, Industrials and Technology, and is focused on executing a strategic growth plan to expand its capabilities and expertise. ALANTRA is seeking to hire an Investment Banking Analyst to help support its M&A and capital raising advisory business. The position will be located in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in the field and be able to meaningfully contribute to the group on Day 1 with little hands-on training. The Analyst will have the opportunity to work directly with Alantra’s US Managing Directors. The environment at Alantra is both collegial and entrepreneurial. The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, outgoing, and possess a strong background in finance and accounting. Responsibilities include conducting industry research and performing individual company analysis, developing financial analysis and models, supporting creation of client proposals and presentations, managing data room and coordinating due diligence process, recruiting, supervising, and developing Interns, and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements include relevant prior experience in corporate finance, a Bachelor’s degree with focus in business, finance, accounting preferred, knowledge of M&A and capital raising practices, solid finance/accounting knowledge, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills, team player mentality combined with ability to work independently, strong organization skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables, advanced Microsoft Office skills especially Excel and PowerPoint, and FINRA Series 79/7 and 63 licenses required or to be obtained within six months of employment.
