Join Our Team as a Marketing Assistant!

Schedule: Hybrid

Location: Washington, PA

Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for connecting people through meaningful content and memorable events? PathWays is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to bring fresh ideas, digital energy, and community spirit to our marketing team!

In this exciting role, you'll help shape how PathWays is seen and celebrated-online and in person. From crafting social media campaigns that showcase our programs and people to coordinating inspiring events that engage our community, your creativity and attention to detail will make a real impact.

What You'll Do

Social Media & Content Creation
  • Create engaging posts, reels, and short videos that highlight PathWays' programs, people, and community impact.
  • Keep our social channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn) active, authentic, and aligned with our brand voice.
  • Research new trends and implement innovative social media strategies to grow our audience and boost engagement.
  • Connect with influencers and partners to amplify campaigns.
  • Track and report on monthly engagement metrics and performance.
Event Planning & Community Engagement
  • Support planning and execution of special events, including fundraisers, sponsorships, and conferences.
  • Help coordinate event logistics-from scheduling and vendor relations to promotions and day-of support.
  • Ensure every event reflects PathWays' mission and delivers a meaningful experience for attendees.
  • Capture post-event insights and results to measure success.

  • Strong writing and editing skills-able to create content that informs, inspires, and connects.
  • A creative mindset with a pulse on current digital trends.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and can-do attitude.
Requirements

Your Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Previous experience supporting event planning or marketing campaigns.

Additional Details

This position involves occasional travel to events and PathWays locations, as well as some physical activity (lifting up to 30 lbs., setting up event materials, etc.). Candidates must meet Pennsylvania state background check and health clearance requirements prior to employment.
