Technical Staffing Resources has an opening for a Piping Designer with one of the largest EPC firms in the country. This is a long term contract position in the Marlborough, MA area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the necessary fieldwork, pulling measurements, locating tie-ins, as-building existing systems, etc. develop detailed scopes.
• Work from P&ID's, client specifications and vendor data to design complex piping systems for chemical facility.
• Create isometrics, pipe supports
• Ensures that completed design is functional, maintainable and designed with safety and that all applicable codes have been followed
• Interface with other disciplines

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledgeable in the design and layout of process piping and equipment in chemical facilities or refineries
• AutoCAD experience required. 3D or PLANT is preferred. MS Office, SharePoint
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Field experience is required
