The search division recruits highly skilled professionals on a direct hire basis. We service our clients primarily in the tri-state area as well nationally through our AAFA network. Our client, a prestigious and well-established multi-strategy hedge fund, is seeking a skilled Sr. Hedge Fund Accountant who will work closely with the Fund Controller and play a key role in fund-level financial reporting, capital activity, and operational support across a diverse set of investment strategies. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and consolidate financial statements and monthly closing packages. Perform valuations, cash flow statements, and calculate internal rate of return (IRR) across all fund entities. Manage private equity fund leverage facilities, including loan tracking, interest payments, compliance reporting, and paydown processing. Review and analyze investment activity and maintain detailed investment performance records. Conduct cash forecasting and manage fund-level expenses. Support the Portfolio team with data requests and assist in preparing portfolio review materials. Collect and organize underlying K-1s for delivery to tax auditors. Participate in ad hoc projects and provide coverage for other funds and initiatives as required. Serve as a liaison between the back office, custodians, and investment teams. Ideal Candidate Will Have: A strong background in fund accounting, preferably within a hedge fund or private equity environment. Solid understanding of financial reporting, capital structures, and fund operations. Experience with leverage facilities and fund-level compliance. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
