We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wines, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to enhance the experience through expert wine pairings and recommendations. As a Sommelier, you will play a crucial role in curating our wine list, educating staff and guests, and driving sales through effective upselling techniques. This Position is set in a Liquor Store setting not a Restaurant.

*Responsibilities*

* Provide exceptional customer service by guiding guests in their wine selections based on their preferences and meal choices.
* Conduct tastings and educational sessions for both staff and customers to enhance their understanding of wines.
* Manage inventory levels of wine and related products, ensuring proper storage conditions.
* Engage in upselling strategies to maximize sales while ensuring guest satisfaction.
* Participate in banquet events as needed, providing expert wine service during large gatherings.

*Requirements*

* Proven experience in customer service within a Liquor Store setting.
* Strong knowledge of wines, including varietals, regions, and tasting notes.
* Previous bartending or sales experience is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with POS systems.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests effectively.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and wine selections.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* A passion for culinary arts and enhancing guest experiences through thoughtful wine pairings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
