Description POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Spa Director, the Spa Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional massage and body treatments to the clients of the Spa services. They must have a thorough knowledge of numerous massage modalities, possess a general understanding of body treatments and be willing to train in our spa's specific massage and body treatment offerings.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Provides exemplary customer service by "Exceeding Expectations One Opportunity at a Time".
2. Provides consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
3. Works with the management team to establish and promote the annual goals and objectives of the department.
4. Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa's policies and procedures.
5. Must have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products that are offered in the Spa.
6. Must be prompt with each appointment and perform services with the appropriate time allotted for the service.
7. Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product.
8. Assist the Spa Director in supply ordering, stocking, inventory.
9. Perform prep work and properly clean and restock work areas as required.
10. Participates in sales and marketing meetings and functions, as required.
11. Establishes and maintains a strong relationship with clients of the Spa services, contractors and organizations that do business with the company
12. Fosters a positive relationship with hotel, Spa and casino guests on an ongoing basis.
13. As an employee, you must familiarize yourself with the Bay Mills personnel policies and procedures handbook and fairly and consistently apply those to all departmental employees.
14. Responsible for purchasing for the Spa services
15. Must possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
16. Must attend all mandatory trainings designated by the Human Resources Department and/or Department Directing.
17. Other duties may be assigned within the scope and complexity of this position's essential functions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing these duties of this job, the employee is required to frequent walking, standing, and lifting light objects. Some bending may be required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must hold and maintain a current State license.
2. Must have one to three years of experience in a Spa related position.
3. Excellent communication skills required.
4. Must possess a personable, customer service attitude along with organizational ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance and speak, understand and write in the English language.
6. General computer experience is a must.
7. To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each function listed under the essential functions and physical demands categories of this position description.
8. Must have an excellent past work record, including attendance.
