Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift role requiring an active OH or compact license, 18 months of recent experience, and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00pm-7:30am
• Requires working at least every other holiday
• Use of Epic EMR system is required
• Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care to diverse Med/Surg Telemetry patients and documenting accurately in Epic
• Annual and pre-start modules must be completed prior to start, with modules tracked via Silkroad
• Candidates must complete onsite badging and fingerprinting prior to start date
• Permanent and per diem candidates must not have worked at the facility within the past year
• Nicotine use exemption applies to nurses until further notice
• Candidates are allowed to work only one contract at a time within the system

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be current
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to start
• Epic EMR experience required
• At least one recent supervisory reference in the Med/Surg Tele specialty is required
• Must complete and pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation
• No open background check cases or license hits allowed
