About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP for Climate Finance Programs, a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring that the communities most affected by climate change are actively included in the development and implementation of climate solutions. The successful candidate will lead a team focused on securing a significant portion of federal climate funds for low-income and disadvantaged communities, as well as supporting these communities and minority-owned businesses in competing for climate financing. This leadership position involves strategic planning, fostering high-level partnerships, and driving team results. The VP will also be responsible for centering beneficiaries in program design, creating feedback loops, and adapting strategies to remain effective in a dynamic environment. Applicants for the VP of Climate Finance Programs at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, with at least 7 years in a related area. Practical knowledge of the challenges and opportunities in financing infrastructure projects for low-income and disadvantaged communities is essential. The role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in program development, change management, and project management, as well as a commitment to serving low-income and marginalized communities. The VP will be expected to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, from financial institutions to community partners, and to be adaptable in the face of evolving circumstances. Experience in commercial real estate finance, energy, environmental, or building infrastructure sectors is preferred, and the role may involve travel as necessary.
