The Kopman Residence blends the feel of a Tuscan farmhouse with the sophistication of an outdoor art gallery. Avid art collectors, the Kopmans worked with Annemarie Hall Design and planned the garden to accommodate their ever-growing sculpture collection. The courtyards feature bold sculptures carefully nestled into the landscape or boldly positioned as striking focal points, The infinity pool, itself a piece of sculpture, features a large boulder, found on site, that is cantilevered over the pool to create artistic tension and form a ‘jumping rock’ for pool diving. A large fireplace, heavy timber gates, and over three hundred feet of rambling local rock wall, create the feeling of a rustic farmhouse built by many hands over time.
This home has received a Best Residential Design Award from the Southern California Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects, as well as awards through the California Landscape Contractors Association.
