Santaluz Entries
Annemarie Hall Design worked with the Community Directors and HOA to renovate the Santaluz entries. The existing plant palette of Coast Live Oaks and native grasses, struggled for success both visually and horticulturally. The renovation design balanced the needs of the existing Oaks, the desires of the community to have an entry with year round impact, and the design goal to remain connected to the surrounding native hillsides. The design established a separate irrigation system and maintenance program for the oaks. Drought tolerant flowering shrubs were selected to replace the perennial & native grasses and understated water features were integrated into the existing planters to accent the guardhouse and elevate the guest and resident experience.
